In a recent episode of 1 VS 100 Live, Chris Cashman revealed that players should look out for a major announcement regarding the game coming soon. The announcement could be details on the game coming out of the beta phase and into full release. XboxPrimetime.com speculates that the announcement will be that skill based prizes of some form will be coming to the beta test. This is based on a revealing section of the prizing FAQ detailed on the official site stating:
PLEASE NOTE: During the Beta Period, we may host 1 vs 100 Live Shows that offer skill-based prizing. 1 vs 100 Live Shows that offer skill-based prizing are accessible only to legal residents of the 50 US or DC (excluding Connecticut, Iowa Maryland, and Vermont) and Canada (excluding Quebec). Therefore, if you trying to access a 1 vs 100 Live Show that offers skill-based prizing, and you are a resident of an excluded state or province, you should not access a 1 vs 100 Live Show. For full details, see http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/1vs100/rules.htm.
The text opens up the possiblity for Microsoft to award in game skill based prizes within the scope of the existing beta test prizing rules.
